Join USTA Coaching for Girls Rule the Court™: Join the Movement, a dynamic online event dedicated to reshaping the tennis landscape for young female athletes. This session features two powerhouses in player development and program growth, Catie Dugan Vargas and Jacquelyn Kennedy-Russo, who will discuss the Mid-Atlantic's innovative program Girls Rule the Court™ (GRTC) and show you how you can bring this program to your area. This program is helping girls across the country build self-esteem, wellness and teamwork through tennis. GRTC is a program for girls ages 7 to 13, designed to promote health, wellness and teamwork. Led primarily by female mentors, coaches and organizers, GRTC teaches the basics of tennis, paired with social-emotional (SEL) principles. With a shortage of sports programs for girls and limited opportunities for women in coaching roles, this program addresses critical gaps.
